Our celebrated faculty are dedicated to research, scholarship, and creativity. Faculty members are scholars and teachers, engaged in research with extensive scholarly publications and creative and artistic exhibitions. Graduate School faculty are experts in their fields, as dedicated to teaching as they are to their own creative and scholarly pursuits.
The Graduate School supports Buffalo State faculty throughout their careers as they pursue the tripartite mission of this institution of teaching, research, and service.
The President's Award for Excellence as a Graduate Research Mentor will be presented annually to publicly recognize and reward those individuals who have accumulated an exemplary record of guiding and supporting graduate students as they master the skills, methods, and techniques needed to carry out research, scholarship, and/or creative activity. This award recognizes the pivotal role of faculty in ensuring the success of the student experience and the high value placed on this endeavor by the college. The President's Award for Excellence as a Graduate Research Mentor will use the same selection process as all other President's Awards of Excellence. Nominations forms and guidelines can be found below and are due to Carolyn Martino in Cleveland Hall 519 by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021.
