The Buffalo State Graduate Student Association (GSA) was established with the consideration that there is a constant and imminent need to provide for the representation of graduate students and the promotion of graduate students' interests on this campus.
The GSA is open to all its constituents. One of the GSA's strengths is the enormous diversity of professional and life experiences, ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, intellectual skills and cultural interests among graduate students at Buffalo State. We welcome and encourage your involvement in the GSA.
The mission of the GSA is to represent and support the interests of the college's current and future graduate student community by supporting scholarly activities and providing leadership, service, and social opportunities.
GSA exists to enrich the experience of the college's graduate students, all of whom are members. GSA accomplishes these objectives by flexibly responding to the changing collective needs of our primary constituents; graduate students.
A mandatory graduate student fee of $2.22 per credit hour was approved by over 76 percent of the voting students.
The budget created by this fee is used to help provide funding support for research and scholarship, participation in professional organizations, travel expenses for professional purposes, and other professional development opportunities.
